Using a tea thermos to strain cocktails

Many tea thermoses are equipped with an infuser or strainer insert, making them an excellent makeshift cocktail strainer when needed. Just as tea enthusiasts prefer to avoid soggy leaves in their morning brew, these thermoses can easily double as a tool for mixing and serving the ideal cocktail. They are particularly great for spirited picnics in the park or romantic strolls along the beach.
Using a tea thermos to strain cocktails is akin to using a traditional cocktail strainer. Simply combine all your ingredients with ice in the thermos (you might need to use less ice since shakers usually have more space), secure the lid, and shake. After shaking (or stirring), take off the lid, insert the clean tea strainer or infuser, and carefully pour your chilled cocktail into a clean glass. Depending on the cocktail, you can either pour it over larger ice cubes that melt more slowly or serve it straight up, add a garnish, and enjoy!
